L'Atlantide 1874: gastronomy on the water

Since November 2015, starred chef Jean-Yves Guého has settled on the Sainte Anne Hill, in a new location overlooking the Loire.

Formerly located on the top floor of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Atlantide 1874 and its chef, whose reputation is second to none, have moved. A few hundred metres from their old address, they are now in a 19th-century mansion near the Jules Verne Museum that the chef has been eyeing for several years so that his gourmet journey might continue in a chic and contemporary atmosphere. The old abandoned house has been beautifully restored; combining stonewalls with facades of glass and wood.

Today the art of receiving, in this large and starred house run by the Guéhos, shines without ostentation on the city heights. The chef's 'travelling cuisine' combines all the subtlety of regional products with exotic flavours in a more intimate and friendly setting between an open kitchen and bright dining room. There, enjoy a marvellous roasted pollack loin, veal filet marinated in soy sauce and sesame or langoustines served smoked eel and potato mash…

The spectacle of the harbour entrance and the sunsets overlooking the river are privileged moments to experience on the terrace.
