At the time of its closure in 2005, the La Samaritaine department store had four adjoining buildings. Following 15 years of renovation work, this symbol of French Second Empire splendour, founded in 1870, has now reopened its doors. The vast architectural transformation included the creation of the Cheval Blanc Paris luxury hotel beside the Seine, and on the rue de Rivoli, a high-end retail complex focused on luxury and beauty.
Like its sister Cheval Blanc hotels, the Paris version will showcase the art of hospitality according to LVMH, with 72 exquisite rooms and suites designed by Peter Marino. The Cheval Blanc Paris excels as a private haven for couples or families to enjoy.
Start your morning by tucking into a delicious croissant, whilst gazing out at the Pont-Neuf. Next, what better way to continue your day than with a few lengths in the hotel pool. Unless, that is, you would prefer to take advantage of the Dior urban spa. For lunch or dinner, take a seat in one of the four restaurants and enjoy a delicious meal from the menu composed by three-star chef Arnaud Donckele. Spend the afternoon indulging in a little retail therapy, courtesy of the Samaritaine boutiques. To finish the day on a high, head to the 650 sqm terrace on the seventh floor, where you will be met by an exceptional view over the Paris rooftops.
The Cheval Blanc is a luxurious cocoon, where time stands still and one unforgettable moment flows into the next, each filled with beauty, pure emotion, and easy living.
