The Santa Teresa neighbourhood hides a gem. There, on a rural terrace in the hills of Rio, Cariocas and tourists come to contemplate the sunsets and the incredible views of Guanabara Bay.
This charming cabana, with its mango trees and straw umbrellas around old farm tables, serves traditional Brazilian cuisine by Chef Ana Castilho. The nostalgic family dishes, influenced by the region of Minas Gerais in the heart of Brazil, renowned for its fine cuisine include the polenta snacks originally cooked by slave women on coffee farms; Carioca rice balls with coconut; grilled shrimp with saffron rice; and freshly caught fish every night (freshwater catches with coriander or tropical fish with orange sauce).
The selection of wines is extensive and includes those classified as “natural”.
