Forced to cancel: the conditions for reimbursement
Prior to departure, the unforeseen incident that keeps you from flying must have taken place in your country of residence.
The policy notably covers you in case of:
- illness or accident affecting you or your close relatives,
- family emergency (death of a family member, summons for adoption, etc.),
- terrorist attack in your destination city,
- professional emergency (layoff, new employment, vacation days changed by your employer, etc.),
- theft of identity documents occurring within 48 hours of departure,
- etc.
When canceling your departure flight, you must first inform Air France. Then, in the 5 days following the unforeseen incident, inform Mondial Assistance and send all necessary documentary evidence.

Did you miss your flight? Missed flight insurance covers the price of a new ticket* to the same destination in the 24 hours following your original flight! Important: we recommend that you arrive at the airport well in advance of the Check-in Deadline for your flight! If you miss your flight, you must inform Allianz immediately.
